Swim With Manatees in Homosassa Springs & Crystal River

Experience one of Florida’s most unforgettable wildlife adventures as you swim with manatees in their natural habitat.

While Crystal River is world-famous for manatee tours, we often recommend Homosassa Springs for a quieter, more personal experience. After more than 26 years of operating manatee tours in Citrus County, we’ve found that fewer crowds and less concentrated boat traffic can create a better experience for both our guests and the manatees.

Our tours depart from our private Homosassa docks and feature small groups, experienced local captains, and a strong focus on passive observation, manatee education, and conservation.

Along the way, you’ll explore beautiful spring-fed waterways and may encounter dolphins, river otters, turtles, native birds, and even the famous monkeys of Monkey Island.

Crystal River or Homosassa?

Both offer incredible opportunities to see Florida manatees, but they provide different experiences.

Crystal River is internationally famous and attracts large numbers of visitors, especially during the winter migration.

Homosassa is our preferred choice for guests looking for a smaller, quieter, and more personal manatee encounter with fewer distractions around the animals.

Sometimes less is more — fewer people, fewer distractions, and more opportunity to simply enjoy the manatees.

Located in Citrus County on Florida’s Nature Coast, we’re just over an hour from Tampa and less than two hours from Orlando.

Flexible Departure Times

Choose from multiple daily departure times. See our calendar for current availability.

Each tour lasts approximately 3 hours. Our experienced captains monitor manatee activity, weather, and water conditions daily to help provide the best experience possible.

Come discover why, after more than 26 years on these waters, Homosassa remains one of our favorite places to experience Florida’s manatees
