Where to eat and stay

Manatees spend 6 to 8 hours a day eating. Three hours on the river with them and you'll understand why.

Our dock sits at Monkey Island Riverside Resort on the Old Homosassa River, so food, a place to sleep and a cold drink are a short walk from the boat. Here's what's close by, and how to have lunch waiting for you when you get back.

Coming soon

Order ahead, eat when you're back

Nobody climbs out of the river thinking about menus. So don't. Order your food when you book, and it'll be ready when your boat ties up at the dock.

Staying in Crystal River?

Lots of our guests do

Crystal River has plenty of hotels and vacation rentals, and our dock in Homosassa is a short drive south. Just leave enough time to park and check in before your tour.

Breakfast before your tour

Kim's Cafe

3910 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34446 (in the Publix plaza)

Home-style cooking, fast service, local prices. One of the locals' favorites, and close enough to eat and still make an 8 AM boat.

Before you go

Bring your own towel

And a change of clothes. We provide the wetsuit, mask, snorkel and noodle. You provide the towel.

Wear your swimsuit

To the dock. It makes check-in faster.

Pack a hoodie

In the cooler months, for the ride back. The springs stay about 72 degrees all year, but the air doesn't.

Come for the manatees. Stay for a pizza on the river.

That's the right order.
