Imagine a completely unique experience in Florida’s Nature Coast. Our Mermaids & Manatees experience will bring you the opportunity to connect to a very precious part of our aquatic community - a one of a kind adventure only found here in Florida! Instructor Mermaid Ina has been instructing people from all over the world for over 10 years. Captain Parker has been guiding folks to see the manatees for over 20 years and with these two Magical experiences all rolled into one setting, you are assured to have memories to last a lifetime.
We’re so blessed to be able to bring you this truly original experience, and hope that enjoy your time with us. Here are a few things to note about our time together…
If you decide to partake in a mermaid swimming experience, you must be 12 years old, and know how to swim unassisted. This is for YOUR SAFETY, and we are strict on our requirements.
Don’t want to wear a tail? You don’t have to! You can join us as a swimmer! This is open to ages 6 and older, and we offer prices for that in our registration process.
Mermaids don’t “pet” manatees. Rather, we are passive observers in their home. Any mermaids who disrespect our manatee friends or our environment will be asked to disembark and will not be offered a refund
Part of our mermaid code is “to lead and live in light and love”. We promise to treat you as family during our time together, and ask that you do the same.
We require online registrations where payment is required upon booking. Cancellation policies will be in effect.

Our Meeting location will be posted shortly. We will be meeting on the Homosassa River in Homosassa, FL.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost?
Cost is $250 per mermaid plus fees (sales tax and possible entry fees to training pool) including your very own mermaid tail to take with you. Don’t want to be a mermaid? That’s ok! Get everything above without the tail for $75. This is designed for the whole family all while incorporating a small group setting.
What are the class times?
Our class and tour times start at 8 Am and 12:30 Pm with advanced reservations. The mermaid class will be the first part of your adventure, followed by your unique, magical manatee adventure.
How long is this Adventure?
Our classes are about 4.5 hours long, to assure you the required mermaid training and to instruct you about the proper interaction with manatees.
What do you need to bring?
Bathing suit, a towel, clothes, appropriate shoes (for walking to the boats), reef safe sunscreen, bug repellent! Snorkel gear will be available you, unless you want to bring your own.
Hold old must my child be to swim with you?
12 years old to wear a mermaid tail, 6 years old to swim without a tail. We offer dry photo shoots in a tail for the little ones, as well as pool-based classes. Message us for info about those. It’s for YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY that we have these rules.
Do I need to be able to swim in order to wear a mermaid tail?
Yes. You must be able to swim unassisted, as well as tread water and float on your back.
Are you an accredited mermaid program?
Yes! We are an accredited Mermaid Teaching Programming. Not to be confused with others offering a class. We take are classes very serious and will always be available for future encounters. Mermaid Ina (AKA - Karen) has been around a long time,teaching hundreds of mermazing adventures to release the inner magic of mermaids.
